Please find below some of the frequently asked questions about registration and bidding at the online auction. For any additional questions, please contact our friendly staff at 416 968-7500 or toll free at 800 879-8975.
How do I start my online bidding?
Log in with your Dupuis username and password and start placing bids on your favourite lots. You can place the next/starting bid by simply clicking on the red "PLACE BID" button that shows an amount indicated on it.
Alternatively, you can submit your own "MAXIMUM BID", which will ensure that you'll get the lot for the least amount within or up to your "MAXIMUM BID” limit, unless outbid by another bidder. Please note: bids cannot be retracted/cancelled.
In the case of two identical bids being submitted, the earlier one will take precedence.
If you are experiencing difficulties placing bids or have limited computer access, please give us a call during business hours at 416 968-7500 or 1 800 879-8975 and we’ll happily assist you in every way possible.
I’m a current client of Dupuis. Am I already registered to bid?
Yes, if you’ve bid with Dupuis before, you’re good to go.
Online bidding requires no special registration information; just log in here and start placing bids.
What if I can’t remember my username or password?

What are the Conditions of Sale for an online auction? Are they different from the regular live auctions?
The
Conditions of Sale are the same for all Dupuis auctions. Before bidding please read the
Conditions of Sale regarding the following information: buyer’s premium, applicable taxes, all lots are sold “as is”, limited warranty, bid increments, payment, etc. Once you begin to bid, it is understood that you will comply with the stated terms as laid out in the
Conditions of Sale and will be responsible for payment for items assigned to your bids.
Please Note: All bidding is done in Canadian dollars but for your convenience other currencies may be listed with approximate equivalents.
What information is there on the condition, size, or quality of items?
Each lot has a complete description and detailed condition report prepared by our jewellery experts and gemmologists. For more specific information, we suggest you contact our helpful staff at 416 968-7500 or toll free at 800 879-8975 or email us at conditionreports@dupuis.ca.
If I think I’m the lucky final bidder?
We’ll notify you by email. Congratulations!
What if I make a mistake? Can the auctioneer cancel my bid?
Unfortunately, the system doesn’t allow active bids to be cancelled. Each time you bid you are committing to pay for any and all items if you are the successful final bidder. There is no live auctioneer in a Timed Online Auction.
