Designed by Andrew Jordan. Mr. Jordan’s work featured at this auction combines gold and diamonds with less traditional materials such as forged steel and uncut natural diamonds. He consulted and collaborated with world class crafts people and artists to solve the problems that arose during the building of the jewellery and the box. The box, with its moving parts, and carved from a specimen of the natural pink gem, rhodonite, needed to fit precisely and slide smoothly.
