Hammer Price
$4,400 CAN

Of freeform organic design, the nugget-textured linking suspending turquoises, carnelians and green onyx, mounted in 18k gold, length 8 1/4 ins, signed Feriozzi, Roma
Master jeweller and goldsmith, Orlando Feriozzi was born in Rome in 1920. He studied under the famous Roman jeweller, Giorgio Cazzaniga. In 1942, he opened his own studio in Rome where he created unique pieces by hand, each piece crafted with the finest details. It was here that he made a wedding bracelet for Margaret Truman in 1956, designing it of marguerite daisies to complement her couturier Roman-made gown. In 1975, Maestro Feriozzi arrived in the United States to teach young American goldsmiths the lost art of hand fabrication. Subsequently, he settled in Carmel, California where he established a shop in 1981. Still working at the age of 87, he is internationally renowned for his fine engraving and superlative craftsmanship.
