Lot 282: An Antique Natural Pearl, Diamond and Gold Brooch, circa 1900

Designed as a sprig of lily-of-the-valley, each bell-shaped blossom enhanced to the centre with a tiny diamond, the graduating rose-cut diamond branch suspending the articulated trio of pearl drops, mounted in 14k gold, Russian assay marks and maker's mark IF

With report 2145621007 dated 23 April 2012 from the Gemological Institute of America stating natural pearls, saltwater origin

-CORRECTION TO PRINTED CATALOGUE: the pearls have been tested for natural origin (see GIA report)

-stamped 56, IF, and maker's mark
-3 pearls measuring from 7.2 to 7.7 mm, cream with soft lustre
-in good condition with normal wear and a tiny rose-cut diamond deficient
