With report 2131081322 dated 17 February 2011 from the Gemological Institute of America stating that it is an expert opinion that the geographic origin of this ruby is Burma (Myanmar). No indications of heating

-weighs 8.2 g
-a medium tone of bright, slightly pinkish red, moderately to noticeably included (some small surface cavities)
-approx diamond weight 0.50ct, H-I/SI1
-in good condition
