Lot 42: A Ruby and Diamond Ring

Centering an oval ruby weighing 5.10 carats, amid a scalloped border of round diamonds, and diamond-set shoulders, mounted in 18k gold
With report 0312070 dated 22 December 2003 from the Gubelin Gem Lab stating that gemmological testing revealed characteristics consistent with those of rubies originating from Burma (Myanmar). No indications of Thermal enhancement. Rubies which have not been enhanced by heat are scarce.

- size 6 1/2
- ruby measuring 10.22 x 9.02 x 6.12 mm, of a medium tone of bright, very slightly pinkish red colour, noticeably included
- cluster diamonds total approx 1.20 cts, G-H colour, VS-SI clarity
- shoulder diamonds total approx 0.32 ct, G-H colour, SI-I1 clarity
- in good condition
