The tapering openwork plaque decorated throughout with old European-cut and round diamonds and rubies, mounted in platinum, together with a sterling silver chain, length 18 1/2 ins (not illustrated)

- weight of brooch 12.9 g
- brooch width 2 ins, height 1 1/8 ins
- rubies total approx 2.05 cts, of medium-strong purplish-red colour
- 2 old European-cut diamonds approx 0.70 ct and 0.65 ct, F-G colour, VVS2-VS1 clarity, minor nicks under magnification
- smaller diamonds approx 2.45 cts, F-G colour, generally VS clarity
- in good condition, pendant loop not original to the brooch
