Lot 316: An Antique Pearl and Diamond Pendant Necklace, circa 1910

Of negligée design, suspending two drops with a pearl measuring 8.0 mm by 6.3 mm and an old European-cut diamond weighing approximately 0.45 carat, from knife-edge lines accented by a small pearl and diamonds, length 16 3/4 ins, mounted in platinum and 14k gold, pearls not tested for natural origin

- weight 6.2 g
- pearl of a light cream hue with blue and green overtones, soft lustre, moderate spotting
- diamonds H-I colour, SI clarity
- good condition
- microscopic examination of the drill hole shows that the pearl is non beaded. Non-beaded pearls can be cultured or natural origin and Dupuis makes no guarantee that this pearl is not a cultured pearl.
