Lot 117: An Antique Natural Pearl, Diamond and Gold Necklace, circa 1850

Comprising sixteen pearls graduated from approximately 9.9 mm by 8.7 mm to 4.7 mm, alternated with old mine-cut diamonds, and joined to a later added flattened stylised linking chain, length 16 ins, mounted in 18k and 14k gold
With report 1187533999 dated 27 October 2014 from the Gemological Institute of America for the seven largest pearls stating natural pearls, saltwater origin

- weight 24.1 g
- pearls of light cream colour, medium to bright lustre, baroque shapes, pink and green overtones, good matching
- diamonds, French cut, total approx 2.00ct, I-K colour, VS2-I1
- in good condition, with wear commensurate with age, two diamonds are chipped
