Of square box form, the lid accented by the applied royal cypher, EIIR surmounted by the St. Edward's Crown, pushpiece opening to reveal a fitted bevelled mirror and powder compartment, in textured silver and gold, with hallmark for Birmingham, maker's mark for W.H. Manton, circa 1975, original fitted Cartier box

The box was presented by Queen Elizabeth II to a loyal subject, in recognition of service to the Commonwealth.
