The work of Giuliano is among the most desired and collectible in the world of antique jewels.
Giuliano is famed for the use of black and white enamel. This brooch features the unique combination of black enamel incorporated with white. There is, additionally, delicate blue and white enamel.. The back of the brooch has engraved lines that pick up the decoration from the front. There are flared flanges on the pin, near the hinge, this is commonly found as a decorative and practical (it prevents catching on clothes) addition on Giuliano jewels.
