The elaborate cartouche brooch centering a cushion-shaped ruby weighing approximately 0.90 carat, amid scrolling wirework and fine granulation, acanthus leaves, and accented by smaller rubies and turquoises; a pair of ear pendants en suite, mounted in 18k gold, 19th century

Dimensions: brooch 44 x 33 mm, ear pendants 10 x 30 mm
Weight: Brooch 9.3 grams, earrings 3.2 grams
Principal ruby: medium tone of intense pinkish red, it is Dupuis' opinion that the ruby is Burmese origin, unheated
Brooch with maker's mark: ET
Brooch with small pendant loop at the bottom
Good overall condition, brooch with small areas of granulation deficient, a gold leaf on the top right corner missing
Backings: shepherd's hooks
