This brooch bears close similarities to a brooch that was exhibited at the Paris Exposition of 1867, and was made by French jeweller Oscar Massin. It is felt that this brooch may be partly by Oscar Massin, or is certainly influenced by Massin designs, and is of approximately the same period.
