Sapphire: measuring 11.30 x 9.75 x 5.93mm: A medium tone of strong, very slightly violetish blue colour. it is Dupuis' opinion that there is no evidence of heat treatment, heat treatment of sapphires is a standard procedure and it is rare to find sapphires that have not been heat treated. It is Dupuis' opinion that features found in the sapphire are consistent with features found in sapphires known to have been found in Sri Lanka. Abrasions can be seen on some facet edges under magnification.
