Lot 103: A Sapphire, Diamond and Gold Ring

Set with a cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 4.23 carats, decorated with a dainty rose-cut diamond floral crown and wreath, mounted in 18k white and yellow gold
With report 2195065893 dated 15 February 2018 from the Gemological Institute of America stating natural light blue-violet sapphire, no indications of heating. It is an expert opinion that the country of origin is Sri Lanka.

Size: 6 1/4
Weight: 6.3 grams
The front of the ring features the claw set sapphire, and above it is a silver topped form with laurels curving to the Habsburg crowned double eagle.
The ring is signed ""Halgreen 750", and is engraved with the name "Lillian", in script.
Sapphire: A medium light tone of bright violetish blue colour. The gem is very well cut, and is a bright and lively gem. The gem is clean to the eye.
