The single strand comprising thirty-eight dark grey cultured pearls measuring 8.6-8.9 mm, alternating with diamond-set rondelles, centering a pavé-set diamond shield-shaped plaque decorated with bezel-set oval and pear-shaped rubies, and calibré-cut ruby channels, mounted in 18k gold, signed Graff, length 16 1/2 inches

42cm (16 3/4 inches) long. The centre ornament measures 39mm (1 1/2 inches) high.
Rubies: Centre cabochon approximately 9.0 x 8.0 x 5.6mm, 6 pear shapes, 18 specially faceted (to fit together), total estimated weight 9.00 carats of a medium dark tone of strong pinkish red colour, good matching.
Diamonds: Total estimated weight: 20 carats, F-H colour, VS1-SI1 clarity
Cultured pearls: dark grey colour, bright lustre, strong pink and green overtones, round shape.
