Lot 5: A Diamond, Ruby and Two-Tone Gold Ring

Featuring twin round diamonds weighing 2.13 carats, amid a broad pear-shaped surround decorated with ten rubies weighing approximately 6.60 carats, further accented by small diamonds, mounted in 14k white and yellow gold

Size: 5 measured on a ring mandrel, comfortably fits closer to size 6 due to the oval shaped shank
Weight: 11.5 grams
Principal diamonds: transition-cut, 6.76 x 6.78 x 4.00 mm, 1.07ct; 6.62 x 6.65 x 3.98 mm, 1.06ct
Rubies: A medium tone of strong, slightly pinkish red colour. It is Dupuis' opinion that there is no evidence of heat treatment. It is Dupuis' opinion that features found in the rubies are consistent with features found in rubies known to have originated in Myanmar (formerly Burma)
Accent diamonds total estimated weight: 0.85 carat, H-I colour, VS2-SI2 clarity
