The circular lacy plaque of finely pierced lattice motif and embellished by intricate black and white enamel, centering a flower and with foliate terminals accented by pearls and rose-cut diamonds, signed C.G, in silver and 18k gold, pearls not tested for natural origin

Pearls: 4.7 mm, 3.9 mm, 3.9 mm, medium light cream colour, medium to bright lustre, green overtones
Not a standard bail but with a very small hinged hoop on the reverse to perhaps suspend a smaller element (not included) or to hang from a very dainty chain
Some enamel loss, otherwise in good condition
Giuliano, known for the delicate and exquisite use of of black and white enamel, was one of the best known, and highly respected jewellers of the Renaissance revival design movement of the late 19th Century, and early 1900s. For Giuliano, design was the most important part of a jewel, focusing on the beauty of the complete item. This jewel is a perfect representation of Giuliano's work.
The work of Giuliano is among the most desired and collectible in the world of antique jewels.
