The rectangular engine-turned case with striped and laurel leaf motifs, decorated with black and white enamel and centering a rose-cut diamond monogram, suspending from a black rope, onyx thumbpiece, opening to reveal a mirror and two hinged powder compartments, mounted in 14k gold
