$6,500 CAN

The circular openwork flower motif with dainty petals and scalloped edges, centering an old mine-cut diamond weighing approximately 1.00 carat, surrounded by pear-shaped chrysoprase plaques and cabochon sapphires, mounted in 18k gold, with maker's mark C&AG for Carlo and Arthur Giuliano

Dimensions: 28 mm
Weight: 10.0 grams
The work of Giuliano is among the most desired and collectible in the world of antique jewels.
The jewels of Giuliano are famous for design. Gems used in Giuliano jewels are present to complete the design, and become elements of a complete jewel. Colours used in Giuliano jewels are usually subtle, avoiding showiness. The blue and green colours framing the diamond combine to a unified and cohesive design.
There are flared flanges on the pin, near the hinge, this is commonly found as a decorative and practical (it prevents catching on clothes) addition on Giuliano jewels.
