The resplendent figural panel depicting a Pharaoh with a carved carnelian profile, wearing a cobra headband set with tiny rose-cut diamonds, the elaborate headdress and torso further decorated with cloisonné polychrome enamel, floral bail, glazed compartment on the reverse, mounted in 18k gold, French assay mark, early 20th Century

The carving of the figure is of very good quality. The enamel work is delicate and precise, it is a unique jewel with an exquisite use of colours.
Egyptian history and artifacts have inspired the imagination for centuries. Each new unearthing of a of a hitherto undiscovered tomb has inspired artists, designers and jewellers to embrace elements of the original Egyptian designs.
Good condition with normal wear, enamel mostly intact
