Lot 2: A Belle Époque Ruby and Diamond Bow Pendant Necklace, circa 1910

Fashioned as a delicate elaborate ribbon bow decorated with rose-cut diamonds, centering a square ruby and suspending an elongated pendant drop with a pear-shaped ruby, mounted in platinum and 18k gold, joined to a fine platinum chain further accented by rose-cut diamonds, length 18 1/4 inches

Dimensions: 51 x 47 mm
Weight: 14.3 grams
Rubies: weighing approximately 0.40 carat and 0.50 carat, of a medium tone of intense pinkish red colour, it is Dupuis opinion that the rubies are Burmese origin, no signs of heating
Diamonds: 105 rose-cut diamonds
