The circular wreath featuring a graduated row of old mine-cut diamonds, suspending a central floral swing drop set with an old mine-cut diamond and small old-cut diamonds, the diamonds altogether weighing approximately 2.85 carats, in silver and 14k gold, early 19th century

Pendant measuring 29 mm x 34 mm
One old mine-cut diamond weighing approximately 0.50 carat, O-P colour, SI1 clarity
Remaining diamonds estimated weight 2.35 carats, H-J colour, mostly SI clarity
The bail is later added
This pendant, Circa 1830, was once an earring, belonging to Birgitte Melchior, of a prominent Danish business family, and depicted in a portrait of the time, a copy of which is on display in the preview
