Lot 42: An Art Deco Jadeite, Diamond and Platinum Bracelet, circa 1930

Of Japonisme inspiration, the four strands comprising eighty-four jadeite beads graduated from 8.4 mm to 3.8 mm, attached to an openwork geometric twin buckle-motif clasp featuring an oval carved jadeite depicting a bird amongst flowers, the odeonesque arches and cylinders accented by Swiss-cut and baguette-cut diamonds, in platinum, length 8 inches

Jadeites of a mottled medium light to medium green colour, good graduation, good polish, moderate translucency, good matching
A jadeite sample was tested at the CGL-GRS Swiss Canadian Gemlab and found to be natural, known in the trade as 'A-Jade'. No gemmological report provided.
Diamonds estimated weight 0.80 carat, G-H colour, VS-SI clarity
Good overall condition, signs of normal wear, upon close inspection the oval carved jadeite on this attractive bracelet is cracked and repaired with glue
