Lot 328: A Retro Diamond and Ruby Ring, circa 1940

Of odeonesque design, centering a pavé-set diamond and ruby channel arch, to shoulders accented by a pair of round diamonds and tiny rubies, mounted in 14k yellow and pink gold

- weight 11.4 g
- size 7 1/4
- rubies total approx 1.60 cts, of a medium tone of bright, very slightly pinkish red, lightly to noticeably included
- it is Dupuis' opinion that the rubies have features indicative of Myanmar (Burma) origin, and exhibit no evidence of heat treatment
- diamonds total approx 0.90 ct, of H-I colour, SI1-SI2 clarity
- one ruby in the curved row is laboratory grown
- in good condition, with normal wear
