French assay marks on the hooks close to the earrings
It appears that the hooks were later added, there are also signs that they were altered a second time and the wires extended to suspend 3 cm below the earlobe rather than closer to the ear, it should be noted that in its current state the hooks are pointing through the front of the ears rather than the back as is usual.
